The World NEXT ends

I found the time to upgrade our Sametime server from 7 to 7.5.1. Things went mostly OK.
As is too often the case with IBM products, it gave me a chance to prove my macho man technical problem solving skills. I rec'd the (annoyingly) standard, "upgrade didn't work, please check the 'c:\lotus\domino\data\SametimeInstall.log' for details". This yielded the really self evident and helpful:

(Jun 4, 2007 7:51:47 PM), Install, com.lotus.sametime.install.SetJavaUserClassesExt, err, ProductException: (error code = 601; message="err"; additional data = [JavaUserClasses line is too long.])

Using notes.net (a notes geek's best friend), I found this tech note:

How to Use the JavaUserClassesExt Parameter When JavaUserClasses Parameter Exceeds Limit

This fixed my issue. Since this seems like it would be a pretty normal issue, it seems like they could add a piece to the install routine to fix this before it's an issue....
