The World NEXT ends 


In addition to my Computer Information Systems degree, I have a B.S. in Marketing (yeah, a bs in marketing does sound appropriate...), and I've always loved watching commercials, marketing, etc.

So, I was watching the Saints game yesterday with one of my sons, and saw the attached Cadillac commercial (for the umpteenth time).

I understand that a lot of folks buy their vehicles, TVs, smart phones, etc. based on (to say it politely) non-operational criteria. But, you really don't have to be as blatant as this commercial. It's even funnier to me because the target market for Caddy is generally more upscale, which I would assume means more educated and (you'd pray) that they'd be able to see how hokie the commercial is.


OTH, I find that there's much more truth to this image than I'd like to believe:

Conformity: When people are free to do as they please, they usually imitate each other.
