The World NEXT ends

Things like DR/BC planning and implementation. Like making certain you have an evacuation plan for your family and pets, as well as 3 to 5 days of supplies such as water, non-perishable foods, and batteries in case of emergency. Get your prescriptions filled. And pray while you're doing it

Looks like things will be busy for a bit, so I don't expect to be commenting here much.

Image:Prayer is not a last resort. It’s the first action, taken in concert with the other actions appropriate to the scenario.

Amen to that brother.

When I hear things like "all we can do now is pray" I have to bite my tongue. Prayer should be the FIRST thing one does in all things. Ask for God's guidance and help, and he will give it. Then, take action and follow his prompts.

I don't mean to sound all "fire and brimstone" -but I'm a VERY strong believer in the power of prayer.

Stay safe.

@1 - It says a lot about our culture that if we say it's a good thing to pray, we have also add a disclaimer about not being 'scary radical'.

To be honest, if I had to pick my natural disaster, it'd be hurricanes. You can see them coming and get out of the way. You can keep your tornados, earthquakes, etc.

That's one one of my "you know you're from Louisiana jokes" { Link }

"You like to be able to plot your natural disasters on a map - and use friendly first names to refer to them."
